I'll overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.
Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making huge paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
